Relegation-battling Wolves entertain top-four chasing Liverpool at Molineux in a huge Premier League fixture.
Wolves will remain rock bottom irrespective of the result, whilst Liverpool can climb as high as third for at least 24 hours.
Team News
Ladislav Krejci is set to return for Wolves after he was suspended for their 2-0 victory at home to Aston Villa.
Enso Gonzalez Medina is now officially ruled out with a knee injury which had kept him out of recent matchday squads.
Hwang Hee-Chan however is set to return from a calf injury if he passes late fitness checks.
Liverpool have no fresh injury concerns to report following their 5-2 victory at home to West Ham.
Florian Wirtz (back), Wataru Endo (ankle), Alex Isak (leg), Conor Bradley (knee) and Giovanni Leoni (ACL) remain absent.
When is Kick-Off?
Wolves host Liverpool at Molineux on Tuesday 3 March at 7:30pm GMT, live on TNT Sports 1 in the UK.
Stat Attack
- Wolves have lost each of their last six matches against Liverpool (L6).
- Liverpool have lost one of their last six league visits to Wolves (W5, L1).
- Arne Slot’s Reds have won each of their last three meetings against Wolves by 2-1 results.
- Victory would see Wolves record consecutive home wins for the first time since April 2025.
- Liverpool have won their last two away matches by 1-0 results (W2).
Prediction
Wolves might be all but mathematically down but they’re in a position where they’re a dangerous team as they build momentum for next season, which Villa found out to their cost as the Old Gold produced a clinical smash-and-grab performance.
Liverpool therefore have to be defensively much better than they were against West Ham because their performance at the back was just as sloppy as West Ham, yet their strong attacking play and clinical end product proved to be the difference so this is a chance to find a better balance in their overall play.
This meeting is made more awkward by the fact that they again meet at Molineux on Friday evening in the FA Cup so neither teams will want to play their tactical hand too early, but I do feel that Wolves will have one eye on that game more given their position so Liverpool should win this clash.
Prediction: Wolves 1-2 Liverpool
