2025-26 Premier League: Week 27 – Chelsea vs Burnley

Chelsea continue their top-four push in a Premier League clash against relegation-battling Burnley.

Victory will lift Liam Rosenoir’s Blues up to fourth, whilst Burnley will stay second bottom regardless of the result.

Team News

Chelsea have no fresh injury concerns to report but several regulars including; Cole Palmer and Joao Pedro could return after having been rested in the Blues’ 4-0 FA Cup victory at Hull.

Filip Jorgensen (fitness), Dario Essugo (unspecified), Marc Cucurella, Jamie Bynoe-Gittens (both hamstring), Romeo Lavia (quad), Levi Colwill (ACL) and Mykhailo Mudryk (suspension) are still sidelined.

Burnley will again be without Armando Broja after he missed their last two games due to a knock.

Axel Tuanzebe (Achilles), Zeki Amdouni (knee), Josh Cullen (ACL), Conor Roberts (Achilles), Mike Tresor (ankle) and Jordan Beyer (hamstring) remain sidelined.

When is Kick-Off?

Chelsea host Burnley at Stamford Bridge on Saturday 21 February at 3pm GMT, untelevised live in the UK.

Prediction

Despite having left several top players either out of the squad or on the bench, Chelsea were simply unplayable after an initially sluggish start as they just blew Hull aside once their play clicked into gear so you have to hope that we see more of the same here against struggling opposition.

Burnley though will be keen to give their fans a serious response after letting a 1-0 half-time lead slip in their shock FA Cup defeat at home to Mansfield, which was just wasteful when they were on top in a game which they really ought of won on paper.

I however just don’t see them getting anything here so their best hope is to go defensive and play on the counter-attack, otherwise this could be a long match.

Prediction: Chelsea 3-0 Burnley

Result: Chelsea 1-1 Burnley
