2025-26 Sky Bet Championship: Week 31 – Wednesday

Charlton face Stoke City in a rearranged Sky Bet Championship clash at The Valley.

Victory would see Charlton stay 18th in the table but move seven points clear of the relegation zone, whilst Stoke can climb as high as eighth with a win if Birmingham fail to beat West Brom on Tuesday night.

Team News

Miles Leaburn is a doubt for Charlton after he missed their goalless draw against QPR due to a shoulder injury, having faced a pre-match fitness test.

Josh Edwards and Harvey Knibbs (both ankle) remain absent.

Stoke have no fresh injury concerns to report following their goalless draw at West Brom.

Gavin Bazunu (thigh), Viktor Johansson, Robert Bozenik (both shoulder), Lewis Baker, Divin Mubama (both ankle), Sam Gallagher (hamstring), Junior Tchamadeu (knee) and Ato Ampah (toe) remain absent.

When is Kick-Off?

Charlton host Stoke at The Valley on Wednesday 11 February at 7:45pm GMT, live on Sky Sports+ in the UK.

Prediction

Having wasted various chances to beat QPR on Friday evening in a pretty evenly-matched game, Charlton just need to keep building momentum if want to stay up but they need to be more clinical if want wins which could be crucial come May.

Stoke meanwhile have began to drift away from the play-off spots at a unideal time because if they had won two of their last five games, they would be sat in the top six still, so this is a huge opportunity to put the pressure on their promotion rivals if can be more clinical.

The Valley though isn’t the easiest place to visit and given Stoke’s poor form there, they ideally need to score first because this otherwise will be a tough game the longer Charlton hold them or get ahead themselves, so another draw for both teams feels likely.

Prediction: Charlton 1-1 Stoke

Result: Charlton 1-0 Stoke
