2025-26 Premier League: Week 26 – Chelsea vs Leeds

Chelsea look to boost their chances of a top-four finish against relegation-battling Leeds in a Premier League clash.

Victory will lift Chelsea up to fourth if Manchester United slip up at West Ham, whilst Leeds can climb as high as 14th if Tottenham fail to beat Newcastle at home.

Team News

Andrey Santos is available for Chelsea after he was initially considered a doubt following a knock suffered during their 3-1 victory at Wolves.

Filip Jorgensen and Reece James could return after the pair were absent at Wolves due to fitness concerns.

Dario Essugo (unspecified), Tosin Adarabioyo, Jamie Bynoe-Gittens (both hamstring), Romeo Lavia (quad), Levi Colwill (ACL) and Mykhailo Mudryk (suspension) are still sidelined.

Leeds could have Ilia Gruev available despite the Bulgarian defender having suffered a collision with teammate, Dominic Calvert-Lewin during their win over Nottingham Forest.

Pascal Struijk however suffered a hip injury during that game and has been ruled out, whilst Dominic Calvert-Lewin could be rested due to having battled through illness to feature against Forest.

Anton Stach is still sidelined with a hip injury.

When is Kick-Off?

Chelsea host Leeds at Stamford Bridge on Tuesday 10 February at 7:30pm GMT, live on TNT Sports 4 in the UK.

Stat Attack

  • Chelsea have lost just two of their last 10 matches (W6, D2, L2).
  • Leeds have failed to win any of their last seven league trips to Chelsea (D1, L6).
  • Two of Chelsea’s last four league matches at home to Leeds ended in 1-0 wins.
  • Victory would see Chelsea claim five consecutive league wins for the first time since November – December 2024.
  • Leeds have failed to win any of their three previous trips to London-based opposition this season (D1, L2).

Prediction

With such tight margins between themselves and Man Utd in the race for fourth, Chelsea have to deliver another clinical first-half display like they did at Wolves to keep the pressure up, although they were in fairness lucky to get two penalties as Joao Pedro did go to ground too softly.

Leeds meanwhile did need a bit of time to defensively settle against Forest but once they hit their stride, they were very difficult to beat with three clinical well-executed goals but this is going to be a tough test to keep an attack-minded Chelsea quiet so taking their own chances will be key.

Either way both teams do have goals in them so I expect this to be a close battle which Chelsea should just edge.

Prediction: Chelsea 2-1 Leeds

Result: Chelsea 2-2 Leeds
