Relegation-battling Charlton host play-off chasing QPR in a huge Sky Bet Championship clash.
Victory would see Charlton stay 17th but move six points clear of the relegation zone, whilst QPR can climb to seventh with a win until at least Saturday afternoon.
Team News
Collins Sichenje is set to make his debut for Charlton following his deadline-day arrival.
Miles Leaburn faces a late fitness test after he suffered a shoulder injury in their 2-0 victory at Leicester last weekend.
Amari’i Bell (hamstring), Josh Edwards and Harvey Knibbs (both ankle) remain absent.
QPR will be without Karamoko Dembele after he suffered a knee injury in their 2-1 win over Coventry last weekend.
Justin Obikwu (fitness) is a doubt but Rumarn Burrell, Kwame Poku (both hamstring), Ilias Chair, Koki Saito (both muscle), Jake Clarke-Salter (hip/ankle) and Jonathan Varane (knee) remain absent.
When is Kick-Off?
Charlton host QPR at The Valley on Friday 6 February at 8:01pm GMT, live on Sky Sports in the UK.
Stat Attack
- Charlton have avoided defeat in four of their last six league meetings against QPR (W3, D1 L2)
- QPR have won just one of their last five league trips to Charlton (W1, D1, L3).
- Charlton have scored four goals in their last three home games against QPR without conceding (W3).
- No Charlton player has been involved in more league goals this season than Sonny Carey (8), with the 25-year-old having produced seven goals and one assist in 29 appearances.
- Both of QPR’s last two away games in the Championship have finished goalless (D2).
Prediction
Despite picking up just 12 points since early November, Charlton come into this match having lost just two of their last six matches so confidence is steadily returning especially after a resilient defensive display in their clinical win at Leicester last weekend.
QPR meanwhile are in similar form across their last five league games but given how tight the play-off race is currently with eight points between sixth to 16th positions, they can’t afford any slip-ups but will come here off the back of a clinical comeback over the league leaders in a competitive battle.
The Valley though hasn’t exactly been a happy hunting ground for QPR but on current form, I do think that they can nick a point here if they bring their best game.
Prediction: Charlton 1-1 QPR
Result: Charlton 0-0 QPR
