Brighton & Hove Albion face Everton in a mid-table Premier League encounter at the AMEX Stadium.
Victory could lift Brighton as high as eighth in the table, whilst Everton can go seventh with a win.
Team News
Brajan Gruda is a doubt for Brighton after he missed their 2-1 defeat at Fulham due to a knock.
Diego Gomez (knock) is a doubt but Mats Wieffer (toe), Stefanos Tzimas (ACL), Solly March and Adam Webster (both knee) remain sidelined.
Everton will welcome Michael Keane (suspension) and Tim Iroegbunam (groin) back into contention.
Jack Grealish remains sidelined with a foot injury.
When is Kick-Off?
Brighton host Everton at AMEX Stadium on Saturday 31 January at 3pm GMT, untelevised live in the UK.
Stat Attack
- Brighton have won one of their last five league meetings against Everton (W1, D2, L2).
- Everton are unbeaten in their last five visits to Brighton (W3, D2).
- Everton have kept clean sheets in three of their last five trips to Brighton.
- Brighton have kept clean sheets in two of their last three home matches (W1, D2).
- Thierno Barry has scored in three of Everton’s last four league matches.
Prediction
Given their awful away form at Fulham, Brighton will of been disappointed to had conceded a later winner to the Cottagers from a free-kick because they otherwise deserved a draw because they were pretty solid aside from a momentary error which was punished followed by a harsh offside goal against them.
Everton meanwhile missed a big chance to go seventh because I thought that their attack was lacking at times against Leeds, so they were lucky to claw a draw from that game with their second-half improvement so a much better display is needed in terms of attacking consistency or they might not be so lucky again.
I however do think that this could be a close game on current form and wouldn’t be surprised if this ends in a point apiece.
Prediction: Brighton 1-1 Everton
Result: Brighton 1-1 Everton
