2025-26 UEFA Champions League: League Phase – Inter Milan vs Arsenal

Inter Milan face table-topping Arsenal in their penultimate league phase fixture in the 2025-26 UEFA Champions League.

If Man City fail to win at Bodo/Glimt in the teatime kick-off, victory could put Inter as high as second if results elsewhere go in their favour.

Arsenal will stay top going into the final matchday if avoid defeat, with a win potentially enough to seal top seeding in the knockouts if Bayern Munich fail to win on Wednesday.

Team News

Josep Martinez could be available for Inter Milan’s bench following his recovery from an ankle injury.

Hakan Calhanoglu (calf), Raffaele Di Gennaro (hand), Denzel Dumfries (ankle) and Tomas Palacios (thigh) remain absent.

Arsenal have no fresh injury concerns to report following their goalless Premier League draw at Nottingham Forest.

Piero Hincapie (groin), Riccardo Calafiori (muscle) and Max Dowman (ankle) remain sidelined.

When is Kick-Off?

Inter host Arsenal at the San Siro on Tuesday 20 January at 8pm GMT, live on Amazon Prime Video in the UK.

Prediction

After a strong start to the phase with four wins against fairly easy opposition, Inter Milan have struggled to execute chances in their last two games against stronger opposition in Atletico Madrid and Liverpool so a more polished display is needed.

Arsenal meanwhile were held to a frustrating goalless draw at Forest which is their second such result in three games across all competitions, which shows how much depth is in this team for them to grind out a result but this is a chance to potentially consolidate top position.

It is therefore no surprise that some Arsenal fans are pondering whether this match is important in the grand scheme of the season overall, but if Mikel Arteta goes strong then I expect them to at least snatch a draw.

Prediction: Inter Milan 1-1 Arsenal

Result: Inter Milan 1-3 Arsenal
