Newcastle United midfielder, Joe White has joined League One’s Bradford City on loan until the end of 2025-26 season.
White spent the first half of the season on loan at Bradford’s fellow third-tier rivals, Leyton Orient but was recalled after he managed just six appearances for the Os, and has now moved to Bradford for the rest of the season.
In his first interview with bradfordcityafc.com, White spoke of his happiness at joining the Bantams on loan and is keen to help them challenge for promotion, as they currently lie third in the table and two points off second-placed Lincoln City.
“It is a great feeling, I am so happy to be here. It is such an amazing and massive club. Hopefully, I can bring my game to this team, which is doing very well at the moment.”
White added that he had spoke to manager, Graham Alexander in the summer and monitored Bradford’s progress whilst on loan at Orient.
“I spoke to Graham Alexander in the summer, and since then I have watched some of the games whilst I have been on loan in the first part of the season. I feel like I can really excel.”
Alexander returned White’s sentiments as he explained that the 23-year-old can add extra creativity to his team following Andy Cook’s loan exit to League Two’s Grimsby Town.
“Joe is a player we have admired for a while and we believe his creativity will bring an added dimension to our team.
“His ability on the ball is excellent, and he is willing to work hard off the ball, which suits our style. He will fit in with our group well.”
White could make his debut for Bradford on Saturday 17 January as the Bantams host league leaders, Cardiff City at Valley Parade live on Sky Sports+ Red Button in the UK.
