Lincoln City face a resurgent Peterborough in a massive Sky Bet League One clash.
Victory would see Lincoln City stay second although they can go top if win by seven goals or more before Cardiff play in the mid-afternoon kick-offs.
Peterborough can go ninth with a win for at least a few hours.
Team News
Lincoln City have no fresh injury concerns to report following their 2-1 draw at home to Huddersfield on New Year’s Day.

When is Kick-Off?
Lincoln City host Peterborough at 12pm GMT on Sunday 4 January at LNER Stadium, live on Sky Sports+ in the UK.
Stat Attack
- Lincoln City are unbeaten in their last four meetings against Peterborough (W2, D2).
- Peterborough have won just one of their last seven league visits to Lincoln City (W1, D3, L3).
- Lincoln City have claimed 17 out of 21 available points across their last seven league games (W5, D2).
- No Peterborough player this season has been involved in more league goals this season than Harry Leonard (10), with the forward having produced seven goals and three assists in 17 matches.
Prediction
Despite their dominance against Huddersfield, I wasn’t surprised at their draw because the Terriers are a strong team so they were always likely to get something given the Imps’ defensive vulnerabilities., but fair play to them for quickly recovering to snatch a point.
Peterborough meanwhile are unbeaten in their last six matches and have clean sheets in three of their last four matches to move away from the relegation zone, so will have huge confidence that they can claim a scalp if play as clinically as they did at Rotherham.
This clash however is the last of four games in 10 days so fatigue will definitely be felt across the league and especially here with the noon kick-off, so I expect fitness to play some part in how this plays out but Lincoln City should have enough to nick if their New Year’s Day game didn’t extract too much energy.
I however do think that Peterborough do have enough in them to snatch a draw on current form if they can soak up the Imps’ pressure and take their chances.
Prediction: Lincoln City 1-1 Peterborough
Result: Lincoln City 5-2 Peterborough
