Crystal Palace have signed Welsh winger, Brennan Johnson from Tottenham for £33.5m.

Johnson has failed to start in nine of his last 15 appearances for Tottenham in all competitions after falling out of favour under new manager, Thomas Frank who replaced Ange Postecoglou in June 2025.

Johnson’s last full match came in Spurs’ 2-2 draw against Manchester United in November 2025, and has since played just 50 minutes as a substitute in Tottenham’s last three matches of 2025, before he missed their goalless draw at Brentford on New Year’s Day to finalise his move to Palace.

Speaking to cpfc.co.uk about his move, Johnson explained that he is excited to join the club under Oliver Glasner.

“I’m really excited and I’m really happy. Crystal Palace are such a great club, one that I’ve always admired.

“It’s a great time for me to be here and join the journey that this club is on – I’m super excited.”

Glasner added: “I’m really delighted that Brennan has joined the club. He arrives very early in the window, so credit to the club for making this happen so quickly.

“Brennan will give us options in our attacking play with his pace and goalscoring ability and with all the upcoming games he will be a valuable addition to the squad.”

Chairman, Steve Parish is “delighted” to sign Johnson who will wear the number 11 shirt, with the 24-year-old considered to be “an exciting young talent with an excellent recent record in domestic, continental and international football.”

Parish continued: “We feel we are the perfect place for Brennan to continue his already impressive journey, and his arrival bolsters our attacking options in what is proving our busiest season to date, competing on numerous fronts including, for the first time, in Europe.”

Johnson has left Tottenham after two-and-a-half years following his move from Nottingham Forest in September 2023, and delivered 27 goals in 107 appearances in North London.

His most iconic moment at Spurs came in May 2025 as he scored the winner against Man Utd to secure Tottenham the UEFA Europa League title, which ended their 17-year title drought.
