Japanese midfielder, Hinata Miyazawa has signed a new contract at Manchester United.
Miyazawa arrived at Man Utd in September 2023 and has since scored three goals and created four assists in 67 appearances in all competitions, during which she was part of their Women’s FA Cup title-winning squad in her first season.
The 26-year-old midfielder is delighted to extend her stay until June 2029 as she spoke of her joy at the club.
“I am really enjoying playing football at Manchester United and I am really happy to be continuing my journey here.”
Utd’s Director of Women’s Football, Matt Johnson added that the club are pleased that Miyazawa has committed her future to the club, as he described her as a key part of the team’s playing style.
“We are really excited to have Hinata extend her time at Manchester United.
“She has become a critical component to the way we play. Her footballing intelligence and technical ability enables her and the team to control and dictate play from central areas.”
