BBC to Broadcast Palace’s FA Cup Title Defence Opener

BBC will broadcast Crystal Palace’s FA Cup title defence opener away to Macclesfield in the Third Round. 

Oliver Glasner’s Eagles will head to National League North’s Macclesfield to start their title defence on Saturday 10 January at 12:15pm GMT, live on BBC One across the UK.

BBC One will also air live coverage of Tottenham’s home tie against Premier League rivals, Aston Villa later that day at 5:45pm – with the Villains’ cup run last season ended by Palace in the semi-finals.

TNT Sports 1 will also have coverage of both of BBC’s two picks.

TNT Sports will kick off the third round on Friday 9 January exclusively live on TNT Sports 1 from the STOK Racecourse Ground as Wrexham host Nottingham Forest in a 7:30pm kick-off.

The Pay-TV broadcaster’s next exclusive match will take place at The Valley on Saturday 10 January as Charlton Athletic face London rivals, Chelsea in a 8pm kick-off on TNT Sports 1.

Sunday 11 January begins with Leeds’ trip to Derby in a 12pm start on TNT Sports 2 at Pride Park, as Daniel Farke’s top-flight club look to avoid suffering a shock cupset against the Rams.

2008 winners, Portsmouth face 14-time champions, Arsenal at Fratton Park in a 2pm kick-off on TNT Sports 1, which is followed by Manchester United’s home tie against Brighton & Hove Albion at 4:30pm.

Third-round action reaches its conclusion at Anfield on Monday 12 January at 7:45pm as Liverpool host League One’s Barnsley, with the fourth-round draw confirmed to take place as part of the pre-match coverage.
