Top-ten chasing Everton face relegation-battling Nottingham Forest in a Premier League encounter at Hill Dickinson Stadium.
Victory could lift Everton up to fifth for at least a few hours if Sunderland lose at Manchester City, whilst Forest can climb to 15th with a win.
Team News
Tim Iroegbunam is suspended for Everton after his fifth booking of the campaign in their 1-0 win at Bournemouth.
Michael Keane (unspecified), Idrissa Gueye (suspension), Merlin Rohl (hernia), Nathan Patterson (groin), Seamus Coleman and Jarrad Branthwaite (both hamstring) remain sidelined.
Forest could be without Murillo (knock) and Morgan Gibbs-White (back), although the pair face late fitness checks.
Angus Gunn, Chris Wood (both knee), Ola Aina, Douglas Luiz (both hamstring), Taiwo Awoniyi (muscle), Dilane Bakwa (unspecified) and Oleksandr Zinchenko (groin) are still ruled out.
When is Kick-Off?
Everton host Forest at Hill Dickinson Stadium on Saturday 6 December at 3pm GMT, untelevised live in the UK.
Stat Attack
- Everton have lost just one of their last six meetings against Forest (W3, D2, L1).
- Forest have lost one of their last four visits to Everton (W2, D1, L1), although this is their first visit to Hill Dickinson Stadium.
- Two of Everton’s last three meetings have been settled by 2-0 results, with both teams having taken one win apiece by that result whilst the other ended in a 1-0 away win for David Moyes’ Toffees.
- Everton have won just one of their last three league matches at home (W1, L2), having avoided defeat in their first four home games of the season (W2, D2).
- Forest are looking to keep three consecutive away clean sheets for the first time this season, having last done so between December 2024 – January 2025.
Prediction
Lucky to snatch a winner via a deflection at Bournemouth in a game which could of finished goalless, Everton now need to take the positives of that game where they defended well and produce a similar display if want to keep pushing into the top ten.
Forest though absolutely dominated Wolves and were unlucky to not record a bigger winning margin than their 1-0 result due to a lack of accurate final touches, but there are plenty of positives to bring into this game where more composure is needed if want to beat Jordan Pickford.
I however do think that both teams have enough quality to play out a draw if Forest don’t take their chances better, whilst Everton are capable of smash-and-grab results based on two of their last three performances.
Prediction: Everton 1-1 Forest
Result: Everton 3-0 Forest
