Trident have recruited Thailand’s Tasanapol Inthraphuvasak for the 2025 F2 season finale in Abu Dhabi.
Inthraphuvasak is already confirmed to graduate to F2 full time next season with ART GP, but the 20 year-old Thai will now make his F2 bow with Trident as a replacement driver in this year’s season finale on the weekend of 5-7 December in place of James Wharton.
Upon confirmation of his drive, Inthraphuvasak said that he is “really excited” to step up to F2 early and make the most of his learning opportunity with Trident before he joins ART GP for the post-season test to begin preparations for next season.
“It’s a great opportunity and I want to thank everyone who has made this possible. I’m looking forward to making the most of this weekend and preparing as best I can for next season.”
Trident Team Manager, Giacomo Ricci added that he is “happy” to sign Inthraphuvasak for the season finale, having considered the Thai as one of “the most talented guys we have been able to appreciate” in F3 this year with three wins for Campos.
Ricci also spoke of Inthraphuvasak’s time with Trident in Macau last month despite a lowly midfield finish, as he praised the youngster’s speed and is confident that he can adapt to the Yas Marina Circuit.
“We had the opportunity to see the skills of Tasanapol in the Grand Prix of Macau, where he raced with us immediately showing himself fast and competitive. Although he is making his debut in the second category, I am sure he will also be able to do well on the Yas Marina circuit”
