2025-26 Premier League: Week 13 – Forest vs Brighton

Nottingham Forest look to move further away from the relegation zone as they meet top-six challenging Brighton & Hove Albion.

Victory will see Forest stay 16th in the table but move five points clear of the relegation zone, whilst Brighton can climb to fourth with a win if Aston Villa and Crystal Palace lose elsewhere.

Team News

Morgan Gibbs-White is a doubt for Forest after he missed their 3-0 Europa League win over Malmo due to a back injury.

Murillo (knock) faces a late fitness check but Taiwo Awoniyi (muscle) is ruled out.

Angus Gunn, Chris Wood (both knee), Ola Aina, Douglas Luiz (both hamstring), Dilane Bakwa (unspecified) and Oleksandr Zinchenko (groin) are still ruled out.

Brighton will welcome Tom Watson back after a minor injury had sidelined him for much of November.

James Milner (muscle), Kaoru Mitoma (foot), Solly March and Adam Webster (both knee) remain sidelined.

When is Kick-Off?

Forest host Brighton at the City Ground on Sunday 30 November at 2pm GMT, live on Sky Sports Cricket in the UK.

Stat Attack

  • Forest have avoided defeat in four of their six previous Premier League meetings against Brighton (W2, D2, L2).
  • Brighton have won one of their three previous Premier League trips to Forest (W1, L2).
  • Gibbs-White has scored in each of Forest’s three previous Premier League home games against Brighton.
  • Gibbs-White has scored in Forest’s last three league matches (W2, D1).
  • Danny Welbeck has scored in two of Brighton’s last three matches.

Prediction

Having recorded a pair of 3-0 victories against two awful teams in Liverpool and Malmo, Forest have renewed confidence about them but this will be a tougher test because Brighton are in better form than those two and with three games in six days, I think fitness could play a part here.

Brighton meanwhile might not be the most consistent team but they’ve done well to find themselves in the top ten with a shot at going fourth, but they didn’t look sharp at times against Brentford until they clicked late on to win from behind so I want to see a sharper display from the get-go here.

If Brighton do that then I think that we will have a great game on the cards and I can see this ending in a draw.

Prediction: Forest 1-1 Brighton

Result: Forest 0-2 Brighton
