2025-26 Premier League: Week 13 – Man City vs Leeds

Manchester City continue their Premier League title challenge against relegation-battling Leeds United. 

Victory would lift Man City up to second in the table, whilst Leeds can climb out of the relegation zone with a win.

 

Team News

Man City have no fresh injury concerns to report following their 2-0 Champions League defeat at home to Bayer Leverkusen, as several regulars including Erling Haaland look to return to the starting 11.

Mateo Kovacic (foot) and Rodri (hamstring) remain sidelined.

Leeds will be without Anton Stach after he suffered concussion in their 2-1 loss at home to Aston Villa.

Man City host Leeds at Etihad Stadium on Saturday 29 November at 3pm GMT, albeit untelevised live in the UK.

• Man City have won their last four meetings against Leeds (W4).
• Leeds have won one of their last five league visits to Man City (W1, D1, L3).
• City have kept just two clean sheets in their last six meetings against Leeds, with both clean sheets having come in 2021-22 season when won 7-0 at home then 4-0 away.
• Erling Haaland has been involved in 15 league goals for City in this season – having netted 14 goals and created one assist in 12 appearances.
• Leeds have scored two goals and conceded eight goals in their last three matches (L3).

 

Prediction 

After two lacklustre attacking displays in the past week, Man City really will be glad to have a game like this where they can reset and get back to their best but they will need more composure and intensity to their attacking play in what will be further squad rotation.

Leeds meanwhile did well to take an early lead against Villa and then often soaked up pressure but poor marking proved costly, which has to be their main worry with a fully rested Haaland and Phil Foden set to be unleashed on them amidst their defensive vulnerability.

Although some Leeds fans might view this as an opportunity given City’s dip in the past week, I don’t see that happening and Man City should take a comfortable win here.
