2025-26 UEFA Champions League: League Phase – Arsenal vs Bayern Munich

Arsenal host Bayern Munich in a blockbuster league phase showdown in the 2025-26 UEFA Champions League.

Currently sat second and first, victory would see Arsenal leapfrog Bayern onto the summit whilst the league phase leaders will stay top with a win.

Team News

Arsenal have no fresh injury concerns to report following their 4-1 Premier League victory over North London rivals, Tottenham.

Gabriel (adductor), Viktor Gyokeres (muscle), Martin Odegaard, Kai Havertz and Gabriel Jesus (all knee) remain sidelined.

Bayern Munich will be without Luis Diaz after he was red carded in their 2-1 win at PSG in their last league phase fixture.

Serge Gnabry and Joshua Kimmich are set to be available after they missed Bayern’s 6-2 Bundesliga win over Freiburg due to knocks, whilst Lennart Karl suffered a minor injury in that game but is fit for selection.

When is Kick-Off?

Arsenal host Bayern Munich at Emirates Stadium, London, on Wednesday 26 November at 8pm GMT, live on TNT Sports 1 in the UK.

Stat Attack

Prediction

Coming into this blockbuster top of table encounter off the back of a ruthless display against Tottenham, Arsenal surely have to be favourites with home advantage but they will need to be more wary from a defensive standpoint because Bayern have more dangerous attacking threats than Spurs mustered up.

Bayern meanwhile might have one clean sheet in the league phase but there is no doubting their lethal attack with players like Michael Olise, Nicolas Jackson and Harry Kane, who will be familiar to Arsenal yet are much more dangerous on the attack than seen previously.

We also can’t forget that Arsenal are a much more developed team compared to their Quarter-Final tie in April 2024 so I do expect a cracking battle, which could well end in a high-scoring draw.

Prediction: Arsenal 2-2 Bayern Munich

Result: Arsenal 3-1 Bayern Munich
