2025-26 Premier League: Week 12 – Arsenal vs Tottenham

Arsenal face North London rivals, Tottenham Hotspur in a massive Premier League clash.

Victory would see league leaders, Arsenal move six points clear of second-placed Chelsea, whilst Tottenham can climb to fourth with a win.

Team News

Gabriel is ruled out for Arsenal after he suffered an adductor injury whilst on international duty for Brazil, coincidentally at the Gunners’ home stadium – Emirates Stadium as they beat Senegal 2-0 in a friendly.

Riccardo Calafiori (hip) is available whilst Viktor Gyokeres, Gabriel Martinelli (both muscle), Martin Odegaard and Noni Madueke (both knee) are set to return.

Kai Havertz and Gabriel Jesus remain sidelined with knee injuries.

Tottenham will have Randal Kolo Muani available albeit wearing a mask, after he suffered a jaw injury in their 2-2 draw against Manchester United before the international break.

Mohammed Kudus, Pape Matar Sarr (knock), Yves Bissouma (ankle), Ben Davies (muscle), Radu Dragusin (ACL), Archie Gray (calf), Kota Taki (foot), Lucas Bergvall (concussion) and Cristian Romero (adductor) could return.

James Maddison (ACL), Dejan Kulusevski (knee) and Dominic Solanke (ankle) are still ruled out.

When is Kick-Off?

Arsenal host Tottenham at Emirates Stadium on Sunday 23 November at 4:30pm GMT, live on Sky Sports in the UK.

Prediction

Arsenal should feel relieved to had escaped Sunderland with a draw because the Black Cats are a resilient team to go and visit, especially after they came from behind to lead only for the hosts to deny them with a scruffy but well-executed late equaliser.

Tottenham meanwhile should have mixed feelings about their 2-2 draw against Man Utd because they were pretty wasteful at times, yet fought back brilliantly to briefly lead amidst sloppy defending of crosses for Utd’s opener then last-gasp leveller.

The international break though has given both teams a chance to reset but Arsenal will need to find a way to win without Gabriel more regularly, whilst Spurs boss – Thomas Frank has to balance momentum of his recent first-team regulars against those back from injury looking for a start.

Throw in the fact that local pride is at stake and this could be a cracker but I do think that Arsenal will have too much quality, even though Spurs won’t make it easy with Romero and Kudus amongst those back from injury.

Prediction: Arsenal 2-1 Tottenham

Result: Arsenal 4-1 Tottenham
