Newcastle United host title-chasing Manchester City in a huge Premier League clash.
Victory by two goals or more would lift Newcastle up to 13th in the table, whilst Man City can close their deficit to title leaders, Arsenal down to a single point before the Gunners play on Sunday afternoon.

When is Kick-Off?
Newcastle host Man City at St James’ Park on Saturday 22 November at 5:30pm GMT, live on Sky Sports in the UK.
Stat Attack
- Newcastle are winless in their last 12 league meetings against Man City (D3, L9).
- Man City are unbeaten in their last six league visits to Newcastle (W3, D3).
- Anthony Gordon has scored in each of Newcastle’s last two home games against Man City (D1, L1).
- Jacob Murphy has created more shots than any other Newcastle player in the league this season, having produced 26 shots in 10 appearances – of which 10 of his shots were on target.
- Five of Erling Haaland’s 14 league goals this season for City have been scored away from home.
Prediction
Coming into this home game off the back of two away defeats in which they blew 1-0 first-half leads at West Ham and Brentford respectively, Newcastle really are up against it given their awful league form against Man City meaning that their emphasis has to be on robust defending really here.
Man City meanwhile absolutely dispatched Liverpool in a clinical performance and with Haaland back to his best, it is hard to bet against them because this is their game to lose on current form.
As much as I hope that Newcastle will give City a fight, I can’t see them winning this but they should ideally get a goal such is their goalscoring form at home this season.
Prediction: Newcastle 1-3 Man City
Result: Newcastle 2-1 Man City
