2025-26 Premier League: Week 12 – Burnley vs Chelsea

Burnley host Chelsea in a massive Premier League clash affecting both ends of the table.

Victory would lift Burnley up to 14th in the table ahead of the mid-afternoon kick-offs, whilst Chelsea can climb to second with a win before Manchester City play in the teatime kick-off.

Team News

Burnley could have Armando Broja available despite the Albanian having suffered an ankle injury in a 2-0 loss at home to England whilst on international duty.

Jordan Beyer (hamstring), Conor Roberts (knee) and Zeki Amdouni (ACL) remain absent.

Chelsea will have Enzo Fernandez available after the Argentinean midfielder sat out the international break, in order to recover from a minor knee injury.

Benoit Badiashile (muscle) and Pedro Neto (knock) will be available but Romeo Lavia (quad), Cole Palmer (groin/toe), Levi Colwill (ACL), Dario Essugo (thigh) and Mykhailo Mudryk (suspension) are still sidelined.

When is Kick-Off?

Burnley host Chelsea at Turf Moor on Saturday 22 November at 12:30pm GMT, live on TNT Sports 1 in the UK.

Prediction

Having had a fortnight to rue their inability to build on their opening goal in an eventual 3-2 defeat at West Ham through sloppy defending, Burnley now need to nail the defensive aspect of their play because this is a difficult test of their defending against top opposition.

Chelsea though were lacklustre in the first half of their 3-0 home win against Wolves yet managed to clinically crank up their end product in the second half, but hopefully they can play more consistently rather than turn up for just one half of the match and switch off in the other 45 minutes.

I however do expect them to cruise to a comfortable win because their attacking quality should be too much for Burnley’s defence.

Prediction: Burnley 1-3 Chelsea

Result: Burnley 0-2 Chelsea
