2025-26 Sky Bet Championship: Week 15 Roundup

Coventry continued to sit top of the Sky Bet Championship table on remembrance weekend heading into the final international break of 2025. 

Ephron Mason-Clark netted a 86th-minute winner to move Coventry five points clear at the summit with a 1-0 victory at Stoke.

Stoke’s defeat allowed Middlesbrough to reclaim second with a 2-1 victory at home to Birmingham City as Hayden Hackney struck the winner, after Dael Fry’s opener was cancelled out by Demarai Gray as Boro manager – Rob Edwards missed the match amidst rumours of a move to Wolves.

Mihailo Ivanovic rescued sixth-placed Millwall a 1-1 draw at home to fourth-placed Preston after Matt Smith put the visiting Lilywhites in front with a 15th-minute finish.

Hull moved above Millwall into fifth on goal difference after Joe Gelhardt netted a 79th-minute winner in a 3-2 thriller at home against Portsmouth, in which Terry Devlin scored twice for the visitors amidst comeback goals from Enis Destan and Kyle Joseph.

Down in the relegation zone, Sheffield Wednesday remain rock bottom with a 3-1 loss at Southampton in which Harry Amass netted a consolatory goal, after Caspar Jander and Finn Azaz put the Saints ahead whilst Adam Armstrong sealed the hosts’ win with their third goal.

Norwich slipped to second bottom after they fell to a 2-1 loss at home to Leicester in which Mathias Kvistgaarden put them in front before Bobby Decordova-Reid and Jordan James sealed the Foxes’ comeback, and in-turn led the Canaries to sack Liam Manning as manager.

Sheffield United moved up to third bottom with a goalless draw at home to QPR.

Oxford United sit three points above the drop after they fell to a 2-1 loss at West Brom after Will Lankshear gave them the lead, only for Greg Leigh’s own-goal and Aune Heggebo’s header to wrap up the Baggies’ comeback.

Elsewhere, Cameron Burgess’ two own-goals against his former team saw Ipswich thrash Swansea 4-1 in South Wales, after Jack Clarke’s opener was cancelled out by Goncalo Franco whilst Ivan Azon netted the Tractor Boys’ third goal.

Josh Windass struck a 77th-minute winner from the penalty spot as Wrexham ended Charlton’s five-match unbeaten run.

First-half goals from Carlton Morris and Patrick Agyemang saw Derby claim a 2-1 away win at Blackburn, despite Yuki Ohashi’s 66th-minute penalty for the Lancashire hosts.

Scott Twine’s free-kick salvaged Bristol City a 1-1 draw at Watford after Marc Bola put the Hornets into a sixth-minute lead.
