2025-26 Premier League: Week 11 – Tottenham vs Man Utd

Tottenham Hotspur host Manchester United in a huge Premier League encounter. 

Locked on 17 points apiece, victory would put Tottenham or Man Utd up to second until Saturday evening at least.

 

Team News

Mohammed Kudus and Djed Spence are doubts for Tottenham after they suffered knocks in a 4-0 win over Copenhagen in the Champions League.

Lucas Bergvall (concussion), Archie Gray (calf), Ben Davies (muscle), Yves Bissouma, Dominic Solanke (both ankle), Radu Dragusin, James Maddison (both ACL), Dejan Kulusevski (knee) and Kota Taki (foot) are still ruled out.

Man Utd have no fresh injury concerns after their 2-2 draw at Nottingham Forest, with only Lisandro Martinez (knee) ruled out.

• Tottenham are unbeaten in their last five league meetings against Man Utd (W3, D2).
• Man Utd have avoided defeat in five of their last seven league visits to Tottenham (W3, D2, L2).
• Spurs have kept clean sheets in three of their last four league meetings against Man Utd.
• Tottenham are winless in their last four league games at home (D1, L3).
• Casemiro has scored in each of Utd’s last two league matches, which is the first time that he has managed to score in straight top-flight games since May 2023.

 

Prediction

Having endured two wasteful performances prior to their Champions League clash against Copenhagen, Tottenham certainly put on a clinical show to beat the Danish opposition but they now need that to be a turning point and translate that display here to stop their top-flight rut at home.

Man Utd meanwhile have certainly clicked in the past month in terms of attack and results but their defence does remain vulnerable, as Forest exposed with two goals from crosses which does show that the Red Devils do still have room to improve if want to push for a top-seven challenge.

I however do expect this to be a close scrap as neither team will want to lose this going into the international break, whilst the chance to potentially be top four come the weekend is another motivation for both teams so a draw might be the best call.
