Martinius Stenshorne will move to Rodin Motorsport for the 2026 F2 season.

McLaren junior, Stenshorne recently graduated to F2 with Trident at the last round in Baku, Azerbaijan, but suffered a double retirement due to a power failure in the sprint race then collision with Campos’ Pepe Marti in the Feature Race after he had qualified seventh on debut.

The 19 year-old Norwegian however did enough to impress Rodin who have signed him for a full-time campaign next season, having enjoyed a strong campaign with his fellow McLaren junior – Alex Dunne who lies fifth in the standings.

Stenshorne is “really excited” to make the permanent step up after he finished fifth in F3 this season, which in-turn earned him €100,000 towards his F2 budget following the recent announcement of a F3 prize fund for the top five finishers.

“This is a big step forward in my career, and I’m grateful to the team for their trust and support. I can’t wait to get started in Abu Dhabi for the post-season test and give it everything on track this upcoming season!”

Rodin’s Sporting Director, Benn Huntingford added that confirmation of Stenshorne’s seat marked “an exciting step” towards early preparations for next season, as he praised the Norwegian for his performances in Baku.

“He’s shown speed and maturity throughout his junior career and his debut in Baku gave a clear indication of the potential he brings. Formula 2 is a big challenge, but we’re confident he has the ability to adapt quickly and deliver strong results.

“We’re looking forward to supporting his development and working with him as he makes the step up.”
