2025-26 UEFA Champions League: League Phase – Arsenal vs Olympiacos

Arsenal seek to continue their winning start to the league phase against Olympiacos in 2025-26 UEFA Champions League.

Victory would see Arsenal stay in the top eight, whilst Olympiacos can leapfrog the Gunners with victory and move into the top half of the table.

Team News

Arsenal have no fresh injury concerns to report following their comeback Premier League victory at Newcastle.

Piero Hincapie (groin), Noni Madueke, Kai Havertz and Gabriel Jesus (all knee) remain sidelined.

Olympiacos will be without Remy Cabella and Yusuf Yazici who were both left out of their Champions League squad list.

Roman Yaremchuk (unspecified) and Lorenzo Scipioni (knee) are ruled out.

When is Kick-Off?

Arsenal host Olympiacos at Emirates Stadium on Wednesday 1 October at 8pm BST, live on TNT Sports 1 in the UK.

Prediction

Two clinical set-piece moments proved the difference for Arsenal in a scrappy trip to Newcastle but they dominated much of the game amidst a sloppy final open-play touch at times, which will only give them confidence coming into this game given their strong performances at home this season.

Olympiacos though are unbeaten in their last three trips to the Emirates Stadium in all competitions, but their Champions League form is specifically pretty poor yet they can take confidence from the fact that they’re yet to lose this season in any competition with just four goals conceded.

Nevertheless I wouldn’t be surprised if this is another scrappy battle for Arsenal but with the confidence from that win at Newcastle, I expect them to get another win if can polish their end product.

Prediction: Arsenal 2-1 Olympiacos

Result: Arsenal 2-0 Olympiacos
