West Bromwich Albion host Leicester City in a massive Sky Bet Championship clash between the Midlands rivals.
Separated by one point in seventh and fourth respectively, victory will see either West Brom or Leicester climb to second in the table.
Team News
West Brom have no fresh injury concerns to report following their 2-1 loss at Middlesbrough last weekend.
Alex Williams (ankle), Karlan Grant (quad), Tammer Bany (hamstring) and Daryl Dike (thigh) remain ruled out.
Leicester have no fresh injury concerns to report following their goalless draw at home to Coventry.
Aaron Ramsey (suspension) and Harry Souttar (Achilles) remain sidelined.
When is Kick-Off?
West Brom host Leicester at The Hawthorns on Friday 26 September at 8pm BST, live on Sky Sports in the UK.
Stat Attack
- West Brom have failed to win any of their last seven league meetings against Leicester (D1, L6).
- Leicester have won each of their last six league trips to West Brom (W6).
- The Foxes have kept just two clean sheets in their last 13 visits to West Brom in all competitions.
- Defeat would see West Brom record three consecutive defeats for the first time since March – April 2025.
- Leicester have kept clean sheets in three of their last four league matches (W2, D2).
Prediction
Having lacked a clinical finish until too late despite strong spells of attacking play throughout, West Brom need to just refocus because they’re doing everything right except in those crucial final touches and hopefully the accurate finish will come.
Leicester meanwhile need to channel the frustration of their goalless draw against Coventry because on any other day, they would of comfortably won if not for Carl Rushworth’s saves, so they just need to bring their best game again and try to be more ruthless in their final touches.
Nevertheless, I am expecting a tough scrap between two teams clearly capable of a promotion challenge this season and a draw might just be the likely result.
Prediction: WBA 1-1 Leicester
Result: WBA 1-1 Leicester
