Trident have released Sami Meguetounif and Max Esterson from their F2 driver line-up with immediate effect.

Meguetounif’s exit comes after just 11 rounds in his rookie season as he laid 19th in the standings with two points, courtesy of tenth-placed feature race finishes in Imola and Austria.

Esterson meanwhile failed to score a single point and sat second-last in 21st position with a season’s best finish of tenth in the Austrian Sprint.

Across their social media platforms, Trident issued a short statement confirming Meguetounif and Esterson’s exits.

“By mutual agreement with @sami_meguetounif and @maxesterson , we have decided to part ways before the end of the 2025 season.

“Thank you, Sami and Max, for your commitment, passion, and spirit, they have left a lasting
mark on our Team.

“It has been a pleasure to have had them both on our Team, and we wish them all the best for their future.”
