England Lionesses have announced four autumn friendlies to round off a memorable 2025.

Sarina Wiegman’s Lionesses defended their UEFA Women’s Euro title in July and having finished second in their UEFA Nations League group, they now will focus on four friendlies across the autumn.

England will first meet Brazil on Saturday 25 October at the Etihad Stadium, Manchester, in a 5:30pm BST kick-off, which marks their first meeting since England won 2023 Women’s Finalissima on penalties.

The Lionesses then meet Australia at Pride Park, Derby, on Tuesday 28 October in a 7pm GMT kick-off to round off October’s international window.

England then will return to action on Saturday 29 November at Wembley Stadium, London, as they host China in a 5:30pm kick-off, which will be their first meeting since the Lionesses won 6-1 in their final group match at 2023 FIFA World Cup.

2025’s international action concludes at St Mary’s Stadium, Southampton, on Tuesday 2 December as England face a first-ever competitive international clash against Ghana at 7pm.

Wiegman addressed the decision behind playing four different type of opponents across the four friendlies, as she explained that the “challenge” of Brazil, Australia, China and Ghana will help the players prepare for the World Cup.

“It is great that we can return to action after our incredible summer with four exciting fixtures at home. Each opponent will challenge us in different ways, which is exactly what we need with World Cup qualification beginning early next year.

“It’s very nice to begin against Brazil and it is also special for us to be able to play again for our fans in Manchester for the first time since EURO 2022. We know from the Finalissima in 2023 that they will be very tough opponents.

“We love taking the team around the country, so to also play Australia in Derby and Ghana in Southampton as well as the China PR fixture at Wembley gives us a lovely way to say ‘thank you’ for the incredible support we have had this year and before.”

All four friendlies will be broadcast live across ITV with exact broadcast details to be confirmed closer to the date.
