AIX Racing have signed Yevan David for the 2026 FIA F3 season.
David is the first driver to be confirmed for the 2026 F3 season and will become the first Sri-Lankan driver to race in the category, as he steps up from EuroFormula where he currently sits second in a three-way title fight involving Tymek Kucharczyk and Michael Shin.
Reflecting on his milestone achievement at becoming the first Sri-Lankan driver to secure a F3 seat, David is pleased that AIX have entrusted him with the opportunity.
“Very thankful to have this opportunity to be racing as the first Sri Lankan driver in Formula 3, and with AIX racing. They’ve proved themselves and I’m excited to achieve great milestones with them for the season ahead.”
The 18-year-old began his single-seater career in 2024 with the F4 UAE with Sainteloc Racing, with whom he drove for in Spanish F4 and Eurocup-3, whilst he also raced at the final round of last year’s EuroFormula at Monza, Italy, where he took two wins and a third-placed finish.
This season saw him join EuroFormula full time with Team Motopark and has achieved one pole position plus four victories, in a campaign which saw him enjoy a guest stint in GB3 with Xcel Motorsport at Silverstone.
