Bromley finished their 2025-26 pre-season preparations with a 2-1 home defeat to Millwall at the Copperjax Stadium.
Early second-half goals from Raees Bangura-Williams and Mihailo Ivanovic saw Millwall condemn Bromley to defeat in their last pre-season friendly.
Idris Odutayo however denied the Lions a clean sheet with a close-range finish in the 92nd minute as Bromley finished their pre-season with just two losses in eight friendlies.
Despite being two divisions apart, Bromley and Millwall managed to match each other in the opening phases but Josh Coburn failed to nail a connection on a 15th-minute cross for the Lions who began to take control of the game.
Bromley’s Sam Long however was able to keep the hosts level with a 25th-minute save to deny Tristan Crama’s header amongst several first-half saves for the 22-year-old.
Millwall however had Max Crocombe to thank for keeping the score goalless at half time, after he saved Marcus Ifill’s shot then Deji Elerewe’s header.
Crocombe’s two saves ultimately proved crucial as three minutes into the second half, Bangura-Williams fired Millwall in front with a clinical curled finish from the edge of the box.
Millwall continued to absorb Bromley’s pressure and were able to hit them with a 59th-minute attack which fell for Ivanovic to fire in from Wes Harding’s low cross, amidst a serious hip injury to Jenkinson who needed nine minutes of treatment before he was stretchered off.
Both teams used the enforced injury delay to make several changes and once the game recommenced, Millwall continued to press for a third goal but Bromley substitute, Grant Smith blocked a 81st-minute chipped shot from Aidomo Emakhu.
Bromley had scored in every pre-season match so far and they maintained that 100% goalscoring record in the second minute of injury time, as Odutayo turned in a consolatory strike from a goalmouth scramble caused by the knockdown header of Omar Sowunmi.
Their B team meanwhile were held to a goalless draw at Chelmsford, with new signing – Dillon Addai amongst those in action there.
Andy Woodman’s Ravens now turn their attention to their 2025-26 League Two season-opener away at Shrewsbury on 2 August (3pm BST).
