Poland and Denmark do battle for pride in their concluding Group C match at UEFA Women’s Euro 2025.
Both Poland and Denmark have already been eliminated from the tournament following second group-game defeats to Sweden and Germany respectively, so victory would see the winner of this game avoid finishing bottom of the group.
Team News
Paulina Dudek is a doubt for Poland after she missed their defeat to Sweden due to a foot injury.
Denmark will be without midfielder, Emma Snerle who is ruled out after she suffered a concussion in their 2-1 loss to Germany.
When is Kick-Off?
Poland meet Denmark at Swissporarena, Lucerne, Switzerland, on Saturday 12 July at 9pm CEST (8pm UK Time), live on ITV4 and ITVX in the UK.
Stat Attack
- This is Poland’s first meeting against Denmark at UEFA Women’s Euro Finals.
- Denmark are yet to lose to Poland at any stage of the competition (W1, D1), having drawn 0-0 away then won 6-0 at home in UEFA Women’s Euro 2017 Qualifying.
- Poland have conceded five goals in their two group games at this edition without reply.
- Denmark are looking to avoid achieving a third edition since the introduction of the group stage in 1997 where they failed to win a group game, having previously done so in 1997 and 2013.
Prediction
Currently bottom of the group with little attacking quality on display across both group matches so far, Poland really need to show more fight and a polished final touch which was evident pre-tournament but just hasn’t really been produced when it mattered.
Denmark meanwhile did well to give Germany a good fight but a foul and sloppy defensive blunder cost them at least a draw, but I do expect them to be favourites in this game such is their quality and goalscoring ability compared to the Polish.
As much as fans might want to see Poland claim their first win in a major tournament, I do feel that wait will continue as Denmark will likely have too much for them to cope with defensively.
Prediction: Poland 0-2 Denmark
Result: Poland 3-2 Denmark
