2024-25 Premier League: Week 37 – Crystal Palace vs Wolves

Newly-crowned FA Cup champions, Crystal Palace meet Wolves at Selhurst Park in a bottom-half Premier League clash.

Oliver Glasner’s Eagles will stay 12th with a result but a win would give them an outside chance of a top-ten finish going into the final day.

Wolves will remain 14th regardless of the result.

Team News

Marc Guehi and Adam Wharton are ruled out for Palace after they both suffered concussion during the Eagles’ FA Cup Final victory over Manchester City.

Chadi Riad and Cheick Doucoure both remain absent with knee injuries.

Wolves will be without Tommy Doyle due to an unspecified injury.

Hwang Hee-Chan (muscle) is a doubt but Sam Johnstone (unspecified), Yerson Mosquera (knee), Leon Chiwone, Sasa Kalajdzic and Enso Gonzalez (all ACL) remain sidelined.

When is Kick-Off?

Palace host Wolves at Selhurst Park on Tuesday 20 May at 8pm BST, untelevised live in the UK.

Prediction

Coming into this game of a physical but well-earned maiden FA Cup title where they were clinical yet resilient defensively, Palace need to just knuckle down and focus on the task at hand as this is a chance to thank fans on their own turf with one last home win of the season in front of a lively crowd.

Wolves meanwhile seem to have lost their clinical end product in their last two matches because they’ve otherwise played well and will have had ten days to regroup and polish their final touches, so I do expect a serious response if they turn up with more composure and can cut out the defensive mistakes as saw against Brighton.

Palace though will be right up for this given their form and the FA Cup title will only give them more confidence but Wolves should give them a decent game.

Prediction: Palace 2-1 Wolves
