EFL have announced details of the 2025-26 season schedule.
Regular-season fixtures across Championship, League One and League Two will be announced at 9am BST on Thursday 26 June 2025.
League One and League Two will commence their season on the weekend of 1-3 August with every game televised live on Sky Sky Sports under the current broadcasting contract in the UK, with the Championship then kicking off their season on the weekend of 8-10 August.
The final fixtures of the campaign in all three divisions will be played on the weekend of 2-3 May 2026 with further timing details to be confirmed closer to the time, with every fixture broadcast live.
Looking ahead to the post-season play-offs, semi-final dates will be announced nearer to the time but the Championship will kick off Play-Off Finals weekend on Saturday 23 May, with League One following on 24 May before League Two brings the 2025-26 season to a close on Monday 25 May.
All three play-off finals will be played at Wembley Stadium, London, as is traditional.
The Carabao Cup Final will take place on Sunday 22 March 2026 at Wembley, with round dates for the rest of the tournament to be confirmed in due course.
EFL have confirmed that the First Round draw for next season’s Carabao Cup will take place on 26 June live on Sky Sports News in the UK as will the Group Stage draw for the Vertu Trophy, with exact timing set to be announced in due course.
