Reigning champions, Manchester United will head to Manchester City in the headline tie of 2024-25 Women’s FA Cup semi-finals.
United thrashed Sunderland 3-1 to extend their title defence with Leah Galton, Maya Le Tissier and Ella Toone on the scoresheet, whilst Louise Griffiths netted a consolatory goal for the Black Cats.
Man Utd’s reward is a trip to local rivals, Man City in the stand-out semi-final tie after City saw off Aston Villa through second-half goals from Khadija Shaw and Jess Park.
Liverpool progressed to the final four for the first time since 2016-17 season after Daphne van Domselaar’s own-goal saw them stun Arsenal.
The Reds will now visit five-time winners, Chelsea after Lauren James netted a 64th minute winner to deny Crystal Palace, and in-turn kept the Blues’ dreams of a historic women’s quadruple alive.
Semi-final ties will be played on weekend of 12-13 April and will be broadcast live on BBC in the UK.
