Leeds United host West Bromwich Albion in a huge Championship clash at Elland Road.
Victory will move Leeds eight points clear at the summit before second-placed Sheffield United play in the mid-afternoon kick-offs.
West Brom will stay fifth with a win although a draw would be enough if Blackburn lose to Norwich in another of the lunchtime matches.
Team News
Leeds have no fresh injury concerns following their comeback win at Sheffield Utd.
Ethan Ampadu, Max Wober (both knee) and Patrick Bamford (hamstring) remain ruled out.
West Brom will be without defender, Semi Ajayi after he suffered a fresh hamstring injury in last weekend’s home win over Oxford United.
Josh Maja (leg) and Jed Wallace (calf) remain absent.
When is Kick-Off?
Leeds host West Brom on Saturday 1 March at Elland Road in a 12:30pm GMT kick-off, live on Sky Sports in the UK.
Stat Attack
- Leeds have lost one of their last five league meetings against West Brom (W2, D2, L1).
- West Brom have won one of their last five visits to Leeds (W1, D1, L3).
- Leeds have kept clean sheets in two of their last four home games against West Brom.
- Daniel Farke’s Whites have conceded first in each of their last two matches (W2).
- West Brom are winless in their last nine away league games (D5, L4).
Prediction
With a comfortable gap at the top now beginning to open up after two gutsy second-half comeback displays following sloppy first-half performances, Leeds certainly have promotion in their own hands but they must keep on winning because if they hit a rut now then Sheffield Utd and Burnley will be ready to put the pressure on them.
West Brom meanwhile clinically dispatched Oxford Utd at home but their away form has been inconsistently poor and Ajayi is a huge defensive loss, especially coming into a tricky game where their defence need to be at their best.
I however just can’t the Baggies getting anything if Leeds can sort out their first-half sloppiness because they do look far too strong, which should be evident here if they can get at West Brom’s vulnerable defence.
Prediction: Leeds 2-0 WBA
Result: Leeds 1-1 WBA
