QPR host Blackburn in a huge Championship clash in the race for the play-offs.
Victory will see QPR climb to 13th in the table with a win, whilst Blackburn can move four points clear of sixth-placed West Brom with a win.
Team News
QPR have no fresh injury concerns following their loss at Millwall last weekend but Jimmy Dunne is a doubt after he suffered a groin injury prior to the game.
Karamoko Dembele is nearing a return from a knee injury but is unlikely to feature in this game, but Jake Clarke-Salter (hip), Lucas Andersen (calf) and Zan Celar (hamstring) remain ruled out.
Blackburn have no fresh injury concerns to report following their 2-1 home win over Lancashire rivals, Preston.
Arnor Sigurdsson (thigh/calf), Sondre Tronstad (hamstring), Hayden Carter, Harry Pickering (both knee), Yuki Ohashi (ankle) and Scott Wharton (ACL) remain absent.
When is Kick-Off?
QPR host Blackburn at Loftus Road on Tuesday 4 February at 7:45pm GMT, live on Sky Sports + in the UK.
Stat Attack
- QPR have won one of their last six meetings against Blackburn (W1, L5).
- Blackburn have won two of their last five trips to QPR (W2, L3).
- QPR have won two of their last four home games against Blackburn by 1-0 results.
- QPR have lost one of their last five home matches (W4, D1, L1).
- Blackburn have lost one of their last five league visits to London based opposition (W4, L1).
Prediction
With their push for the play-off having stuttered with two consecutive defeats in which they haven’t just had the polished final touches despite their positive attacking play, QPR now just need to keep playing like they’re and the end product will hopefully return to them which will only bring more confidence and belief.
Blackburn though are in a rut on the road with one point in their last four away games but after a clinical if scrappy home win over Preston, there is renewed confidence for what should be another tough if scrappy battle for them despite their solid away form in London.
Nevertheless my instinct is that this will be scrappy and I wouldn’t be surprised if it ends in a draw.
Prediction: QPR 1-1 Blackburn
Result: QPR 2-1 Blackburn
