Santiago Ramos has joined Van Amersfoort Racing for the 2025 F3 season.
Ramos spent his rookie F3 campaign in 2024 with Trident where he recorded just eight top-ten finishes – including a second-placed podium finish in the Monza Sprint – en-route to only 16th in the standings with 44 points although he took pole position for the Emilia Romagna Feature Race at Imola.
Trident consequently opted to release Ramos from their line-up for the new season and the 21 year-old has now joined Van Amersfoort Racing (VAR) for the upcoming campaign, which has left him “thrilled” to stay in F3 for a second season as he looks for further improvement.
“After showing some strong pace last year, I’m confident that with VAR’s support and expertise, we’re set for an incredible season. I can’t wait to get back in the car and fight for great results together!”
VAR Team Principal, Brad Joyce added that the team “are delighted to welcome…” Ramos to the team following extensive monitoring of his progress.
“We’ve followed his progress over the years and have been impressed by his skills and determination. Santiago showed great potential during his rookie F3 campaign, and we are confident that, with the right support and environment, he will be able to reach his full potential with us.
“We look forward to working with him and helping him continue advancing in his racing career.”
Ramos will partner Theophile Nael and Ivan Domingues who are making the step up as rookies for their first F3 season.
