Cian Shields has joined AIX Racing for 2025 Formula 2 season.
Shields stepped up to F2 for the final two rounds of the 2024 season in which his best finish came in the Qatar Feature Race, where he finished 11th, having previously spent 2024 racing in F3 with Hitech GP in which he failed to score a single point with a season-best finish of 14th in the Spanish Sprint.
The 19 year-old is “super excited” to make the permanent step up to F2 after a positive two rounds of learning with the team at the end of last season.
“I can’t wait to get started and push myself to new limits this season and super excited to get to work, we worked very well together at the end of last year. A huge thank you to the team for believing in me and giving me this incredible opportunity to race under their colours.“
Shields will partner Joshua Duerksen who is returning for his second season in F2 with the team.
