2024-25 Premier League: Week 19 – Tottenham vs Wolves

Tottenham Hotspur face relegation-battling Wolves at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Victory would see Tottenham climb to tenth in the table, whilst Wolves can go 15th with a win if Everton and Crystal Palace both lose elsewhere.

Team News

Djed Spence is suspended for Tottenham following his red card in their defeat at Nottingham Forest.

Radu Dragusin (ankle) is a doubt for selection.

Guglielmo Vicario (ankle), Mickey van de Ven (leg), Cristian Romero (quad), Ben Davies, Wilson Odobert and Richarlison (all hamstring) are sidelined.

Wolves could welcome Mario Lemina back after the midfielder missed their last two games with a small unspecified injury.

Pablo Sarabia (calf), Yerson Mosquera, Boubacar Traore (both knee), Sasa Kalajdzic and Enso Gonzalez (both ACL) remain sidelined.

When is Kick-Off?

Tottenham host Wolves at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Sunday 29 December at 3pm GMT, untelevised live in the UK.

Prediction

With just four points in their last six league games and largely lacklustre in their loss at Forest with little creativity, Tottenham need to try and bring more intensity in their last two home games amidst their defensive crisis.

Wolves meanwhile have found second wind under Vitor Pereira already with consecutive wins, although they were the much more hungrier side for their win over Manchester United despite needing patience at times.

Now if Wolves bring that passion to North London and can target Spurs’ makeshift defence, I can see them winning this but Tottenham’s attack looks much sharper at home so this will be a fun scrap.

Prediction: Tottenham 1-2 Wolves

Result: Tottenham 2-2 Wolves
