Burnley meet Watford at Turf Moor in a huge clash in the Championship’s promotion race.
Victory could see Burnley climb to second if Leeds fail to beat Oxford United, whilst Watford can go sixth if can better Middlesbrough’s result.

When is Kick-Off?
Burnley host Watford at Turf Moor on Saturday 21 December at 3pm GMT, untelevised live in the UK.
Stat Attack
- Burnley have avoided defeat in six of their last seven meetings against Watford (W3, D3, L1).
- Watford have won one of their last 14 visits to Burnley (W1, D6, L7).
- Burnley have kept five clean sheets in their last seven home games against Watford.
- Burnley have conceded just one goal in their last seven home games.
- Watford are yet to keep a clean sheet on the road this season.
Prediction
Having luckily scraped past Norwich with an improved second-half display, Burnley need to be more focused defensively because they were a first-half mess at the back and were lucky to only be a goal down at half-time.
Watford have also found form lately and particularly on the road with one loss in their last four away trips, which offers some confidence especially after a clinical home win over West Brom.
Turf Moor and clean sheets however do seem to be separate Achilles heels for Watford so a huge defensive effort is needed, but they might just get a draw if dig in.
Prediction: Burnley 1-1 Watford
Result: Burnley 2-1 Watford
