This friendly marks the first of two friendly fixtures as England look to finish 2024 on a positive note, as they continue to prepare for UEFA Women’s Euro 2025.

Maya Le Tissier is ruled out for England with concussion but could be available to face Switzerland on Tuesday 3 December.
USA have no fresh injury concerns with Trinity Rodman, Sophia Smith and Mallory Swanson sidelined with injuries, which saw them not called up for selection.

Prediction
With defence still a huge weakness as exposed by Germany and South Africa in late October, England will need to focus on their defensive tactics and ball control here if want any chance of matching the USA’s high standards.
USA meanwhile have been a fearsome force under Hayes whose dominant attacking style has suited the players, in-turn allowing them to flourish even if had to grind recent games out before a ruthless finish underlining their danger.
England therefore must be at the top of their game because although USA are missing key players, they still have enough quality to make them a nightmare to handle and I do fancy them to take the win.
