2024-25 Premier League: Week 11 – Chelsea vs Arsenal

Chelsea host London rivals, Arsenal at Stamford Bridge in an early pivotal clash.

Locked on 18 points apiece, victory would see Chelsea or Arsenal go third if Nottingham Forest fail to win elsewhere.

Team News

Cole Palmer (knee) and Jadon Sancho are doubts for Chelsea but will face late fitness tests.

Omari Kellyman (hamstring) remains sidelined.

Arsenal will be without Raheem Sterling due to his ineligibility, having joined on loan from Chelsea this summer.

Kai Havertz is a doubt after he suffered a concussion in the Gunners’ midweek Champions League loss at Inter Milan.

Mikel Merino (illness) and Declan Rice (knock) face late fitness tests.

Riccardo Calafiori, Takehiro Tomiyasu (both knee) and Kieran Tierney (hamstring) remain sidelined.

When is Kick-Off?

Chelsea host Arsenal at Stamford Bridge on Sunday 10 November at 4:30pm GMT, live on Sky Sports in the UK.

Prediction

Having thrashed Noah in the UEFA Conference League, Chelsea can’t afford to get complacent because Arsenal will pose a different challenge given how organised their defence is, especially compared to the Blues’ lack of domestic clean sheets.

Arsenal though have narrowly lost their last two games and if they’re without Havertz, Merino and Rice on top of Sterling, they could well need Trossard to step up once more alongside others if want to extend their form in this fixture.

Both teams though know that victory here is pivotal to their fading chances of staying in the title hunt particularly going into the international break, so I wouldn’t be surprised if this ends in a draw.

Prediction: Chelsea 1-1 Arsenal

Result: Chelsea 1-1 Arsenal
