With majority of first-round fixtures complete in which several cupsets were produced whilst some EFL escaped the stage with their FA Cup dreams alive, teams now know that one round separate them from a potential third round blockbuster.

When is the Second Round Draw?

The second round draw will be held on Sunday 3 November at circa 7:45pm GMT, live on BBC Two in the UK as part of the First Round highlights show.

 

How Many Teams will be in the Draw?

With replays abolished from this stage onwards, 39 teams will definitely be in the hat alongside Chesham and Lincoln City, who meet in their first-round tie on Monday 4 November live on ITV4 in the UK.

When is the Second Round Taking Place?

The second round will take place across 29 November – 1 December, with live coverage on BBC and ITV in the UK, with the winning teams awarded a place in the third round.

 

Teams to Watch Out For

  • Tamworth (7) – Following their cupset over Huddersfield, Tamworth look to continue their longest FA Cup run since 2013-14 season.
  • Gainsborough Trinity (12) – Overcame Hednesford 5-4 on penalties after a 4-4 thriller and are looking to end a 137-year absence from the Third Round.
  • Bromley (15) – Andy Woodman’s Ravens beat Rochdale in a 4-3 epic to secure their first appearance in the second round for 78 years.
  • Kettering Town (24) – Came from behind to beat Northampton to extend their cup run despite sitting in the seventh tier.
  • Harborough Town (38) – Lowest-ranked team left in the competition after they beat Tonbridge Angels.
