Blackburn Rovers meet Sheffield United at Ewood Park in a huge clash in the Championship promotion race.
Victory would see Blackburn climb to fifth but they can leapfrog the Blades into fourth if win by two or more goals, whilst Sheffield Utd can go second with a win until Leeds play in mid-afternoon.
Team News
Amario Cozier-Duberry is ruled out for Blackburn with an ankle injury, which had sidelined him in their last three matches.
Harry Leonard (shoulder), Zak Gilsenan (thigh) and Scott Wharton (ACL) both remain ruled out.
Sheffield Utd will be without Anel Ahmedhodzic following his fifth booking of the season, which came in a 2-0 home win over Stoke City.
Tom Davies (hamstring) remains sidelined.
When is Kick-Off?
Blackburn host Sheffield Utd at Ewood Park on Saturday 2 November at 12:30pm GMT, live on Sky Sports in the UK.
Stat Attack
- Blackburn have won two of their last six league meetings against Sheffield Utd (W2, L4).
- Sheffield Utd have won one of their last ten league visits to Blackburn (W1, D3, L6).
- Blackburn have conceded five goals in four of their last five home games against Sheffield Utd.
- Three of Yuki Ohashi’s four league goals for Blackburn this season came at home.
- Sheffield Utd have failed to score in their last three away matches (D1, L2).
Prediction
Despite being the better team at Watford in an evenly-matched contest, Blackburn were simply unlucky to not get a draw but I do expect them to bounce back and prove difficult once again to break down.
Sheffield Utd were clinical in their dominant home win over Stoke but they’ve hit an away rut lately, which is not ideal coming into this trip given their poor form at Ewood Park so scoring first could be key for them here.
Blackburn though are a solid team who won’t make this easy so I wouldn’t be surprised if this ends in a draw.
Prediction: Blackburn 1-1 Sheffield Utd
