Gillingham began the month as league leaders but as others slipped up whilst others continued their momentum, one team strung a winning run together to surge to the summit.
This month also saw two midweek rounds so here is a roundup of all the action across matchweeks 9-14.
Week Nine
Gillingham remained top despite a surprise 1-0 loss at home to Grimsby as Kieran Green netted a 21st minute winner.
Alassana Jatta and Scott Robertson’s first-half goals saw Notts County climb to second with a 2-0 win at Carlisle United.
Braces from Ronan Coughlan and Kayden Hughes saw Fleetwood claim a shock 6-2 win at third-placed Walsall, which was capped off by goals from Matty Virtue and Mark Helm to put the Cod Army sixth.
Barrow sat fourth following a 1-0 loss at fifth-placed Doncaster Rovers following Harry Clifton’s 81st minute winner.
Port Vale rounded out the top seven following a 1-1 draw against Colchester, in which Jesse Debrah’s effort was cancelled out by Samson Tovide’s equalise.
Down in the relegation zone, Accrington Stanley remained rock-bottom following a 2-1 loss at Cheltenham, after Dara Costelloe had put them ahead only for Manni Norkett and Ryan Bowman to seal a comeback for the hosts.
Morecambe stayed second-bottom following a 1-1 draw at home to Bradford as Jack Shepherd’s late equaliser earned the Bantams a point after Cheick Diabete’s own-goal had put the Shrimps into an early lead.
Elsewhere, Tommy Leigh, Joe White, Alex Gilbey, Connor Lemonheigh-Evans and Sonny Finch found the net as MK Dons won 5-1 at Harrogate.
Michael Cheek rescued Bromley a 2-2 draw at home to fellow promoted club, Chesterfield, after Will Grigg had fired the visitors ahead following Olufela Olomola’s opening goal.

Nathan Lowe’s brace saw Walsall go top with a 2-2 draw at Chesterfield as Darren Oldaker and Dilan Markanday fought back twice for the Spireites.
Shilow Tracey’s brace saw Gillingham slip to second with a 2-0 loss at Crewe Alexandra.
Second-half goals from Emile Acquah and Andrew Dallas fired Barrow up to third with a comeback 2-1 win over Cheltenham.
Jordan Gibson’s early brace and Luke Molyneux’s effort saw Doncaster go fourth with a 3-0 win at Grimsby, as the Mariners finished a man down following Harvey Rogers’ red card.
Notts County dropped to fifth with a 1-0 home loss to sixth-placed Port Vale as Lorent Tolaj’s strike proved the difference.
Fleetwood rounded out the top seven with a goalless draw at home to Bromley.
