ITV have renewed their coverage of England Women football until summer 2029.
Since September 2021, ITV has shown live coverage of every England Women’s fixture outside of major tournaments, as BBC had UEFA Women’s Euro exclusively then both broadcasters shared 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup.
The current contract was set to expire in June 2025 but ITV have agreed a fresh four-year contract until June 2029, off the back of agreeing a joint deal with BBC for next summer’s Women’s Euros in Switzerland.
ITV Director of Sport, Niall Sloane is “delighted” to retain coverage which will see more than half of the games broadcast on ITV1, whilst selected fixtures will be shown on ITV4.
“This is an exciting time for the Lionesses’ and we are proud to show our support by showcasing the matches free to air on ITV.”
FA Commercial Director, James Gray added that they’re “delighted” to continue England Women’s coverage on ITV, as he praised the broadcaster for their support in growing the sport’s profile.
“ITV have given the Lionesses brilliant backing since 2021, overseeing a truly historic period for the team and the whole of the women’s game. This record deal shows our shared commitment to grow the team’s profile even further and give them the best possible platform to continue to inspire the nation.
“We thank ITV for their support and know that millions of fans across the country will continue to enjoy tuning in to their excellent coverage as the team seek to make more history.”
ITV will be the national broadcaster for both England Women and Men’s senior teams until summer 2028, when the men’s contract is set to expire.
