Having confirmed their places at next summer’s UEFA Women’s Euro 2025, this friendly represents a chance for England and Germany to start preparations on a positive note.

Prediction

Safely assured of their place at next summer’s Euros, England now need to continue their strong year but focus more on shoring up their leaky defence which has conceded in 13 of their last 17 games in all competitions.

Germany though will be difficult opposition given that they are back on the up but have won just one of four games in 2024 against FIFA’s top five-ranked countries, whilst clean sheets on the road have been rare.

Nevertheless, England can’t afford to underestimate Germany who has a habit of scoring at Wembley, so this should be close and a draw might be the safest call.

Prediction: England 1-1 Germany

Result: England 3-4 Germany
