Guide to the First Round draw of 2024-25 FA Cup as the tournament moves into the proper stages of the campaign.
Over the last two months, numerous Non League have done battle to secure their places in the hat for the First Round Proper, which could see them face a glamourous home tie against EFL opposition as League One and League Two clubs enter the competition.
Now, here is a guide to everything that you must know about the First Round draw in 2024-25 FA Cup.
When is the First Round Draw?
The First Round draw will be held at Valley Parade on Monday 14 October at circa 7:10pm BST, live on BBC Two in the UK with coverage commencing at 7pm.
How Many Teams will be in the Draw?
80 clubs will be involved in the draw as 48 clubs from League One and League Two join the competition at this stage, alongside the 27 definite qualifiers from the Fourth Qualifying Round – with five further Fourth Round Qualifiers having gone to replays.

Four Teams to Watch Out For in the Draw
- Birmingham City (5) – First time since 1992-93 season that Birmingham will feature in the First Round Proper of the FA Cup.
- Bromley (10) – First time that Andy Woodman’s Ravens enters the FA Cup directly at this stage following their promotion into EFL at end of last season.
- Harborough (58) – First time that Harborough has reached the First Round Proper in the FA Cup.
- Hednesford Town (61) – Only team from step eight or below to reach this stage this season.
When is the First Round Taking Place?
The First Round will take place across 1-4 November on BBC and ITV in the UK, with the winning teams awarded a place in the Second Round.
There will be no replays from this round onwards following a rule change in order to reduce fixture congestion.
