Charlie Wurz has joined Trident for the 2025 FIA F3 season.
Wurz is the first driver to be confirmed for next season as he makes the switch to Trident, following Jenzer’s departure at the end of the 2024 campaign.
Feeling “really happy” to join the two-time reigning F3 team champions, Wurz is eager to add more success to their trophy cabinet.
“The Team’s trophy case could not be more prestigious. There is already great chemistry with the team, as we share the same motivations and desire to win.
“I know that I can and must learn a lot from them. I am already training for next year and I can’t wait to get to work.”
Trident Team Principal, Giacomo Ricci is “very delighted” to sign Wurz, as he added: “Charlie is smart and fast and will be contesting his second year in the FIA Formula 3 Championship.
“We are convinced that he can do very well representing our colors. We are looking forward to working with him during the post-season test session.”
In his rookie season with Jenzer, the Austrian-Brit scored ten points to place 22nd in the drivers’ standings, albeit via his sole top-ten finish of the season which came in the Australian Feature Race.
Next season also sees F3 introduce a new car design which could potentially reset the pecking order, with teams and drivers set to have to adapt to the new machinery throughout the campaign.
