2024-25 Premier League: Week Six – Everton vs Crystal Palace

Everton host Crystal Palace at Goodison Park as both teams look to ignite their Premier League campaigns.

Victory could see Everton climb out of the relegation zone, whilst Palace could go 13th with a win if Leicester loses elsewhere.

Team News

Vitaliy Mykolenko is set to return for Everton after he missed their 1-1 draw at Leicester due to illness.

Idrissa Gueye (personal) could return but Seamus Coleman (ankle), Nathan Patterson (hamstring), Jarrad Branthwaite (groin), Armando Broja and Youssef Chermiti (both foot) remain absent.

Palace will be without defender, Chris Richards due to a hamstring injury suffered in training.

Trevoh Chalobah (abdominal) could return but Cheick Doucoure (toe), Chadi Riad (knee), Matheus Franca (rib) and Rob Holding (personal) remain sidelined.

When is Kick-Off?

Everton host Crystal Palace at Goodison Park on Saturday 28 September at 3pm BST, untelevised live in the UK.

Stat Attack

Prediction

With one point now on the board following their deserved 1-1 draw at Leicester, Everton can take heart from how energetic their attack looked but they need to start being more clinical now.

Palace meanwhile was a game of two halves against Manchester United but if they play like they did in the second-half, I can see them causing issues for Everton’s defence which is their weakness as Leicester exposed from a set-piece.

Goodison Park though isn’t a solid away venue for Palace but on current form, they should be good for a point unless Everton finally click into gear.

Prediction: Everton 1-1 Crystal Palace

Result: Everton 2-1 Crystal Palace
