James Maddison is a doubt for Leicester after retriggering a hip injury which kept him out of their FA Cup exit last weekend.

Ricardo Pereira (knee) and Daniel Amartey (ankle) are still absent.

Palace could welcome Christian Benteke back from a hamstring injury that has kept him sidelined in recent matches.

Martin Kelly (calf), Jeffrey Schlupp and James Tomkins (unspecified) remain ruled out.

Stat Attack

  • Leicester have taken just four points from their last six meetings against Crystal Palace (W1, D1, L4).
  • Palace have won on their last two trips to Leicester, although they’ve scored in each of their last three visits to the King Power Stadium.
  • Two of Leicester’s last four home goals against Palace have come from defenders, Christian Fuchs – 3-1 win in October 2016 and Jonny Evans in 1-4 loss in February 2019.
  • No Leicester player has produced more crosses than James Maddison, who has produced 221 crosses this season.
  • Palace’s Jordan Ayew has drawn a league-high 52 fouls coming into this weekend, alongside Watford’s Etienne Capoue.

With just two goals in all competitions since the restart, this is a huge test of Leicester’s top three credentials because Palace are a solid all-round team who can push any side and boasts a great recent away record against the Foxes.

Goals therefore is surely a certainty here but if Leicester can build on their second-half performance at Everton, they might just have the edge.

Prediction: Leicester City 2-1 Crystal Palace

Result: Leicester City 3-0 Crystal Palace
